BMU CELEBRATES OUTSTANDING NURSING COUNCIL EXAMINATION RESULTS.
BMU is delighted to announce the exceptional performance of its Nursing students in the recently concluded Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) Professional Examination. According to the NMCN, the Department of Nursing Science, recorded an impressive pass rate of 96.15%, with 50 out of 52 candidates successfully passing the examination. This remarkable achievement stands significantly above the national average performance rate of 69%. Speaking after receiving the result sheet in his office, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Dimie Ogoina, expressed immense satisfaction with the result, describing it as another significant milestone in the implementation of the University's ASPIRE Agenda. The VC particularly commended the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dr. Mrs. Gift Timighe, whose exemplary leadership, dedication to academic excellence, and unwavering commitment to discipline and quality assurance have continued to strengthen the Faculty's culture of excellence. He thanked the HOD and staff of the Nursing Department for the vital role in creating an enabling environment for effective teaching, learning, and professional preparation. While congratulating the Nursing students, Prof. Ogoina noted that this success represents the reward of years of rigorous training, sacrifice, discipline, and determination. He said the result serves as a validation of the quality of its academic programmes, curriculum delivery, mentorship structures, and commitment to producing competent healthcare professionals capable of meeting global standards.
